All the images below were taken by me, JD Kirk, in and around Fort William, where many of the DCI Logan books are set. I hope you enjoy having a peek at some of the locations from the stories, and I’ll be adding pictures regularly, so make sure you bookmark and check back soon.

I’ve just finished reading City of Scars and look forward to the next one. Great stories, at times very amusing and it helps, although I live in Devon, I’ve travelled to this part of Scotland a number of times.

I’m 6 books in having just read Whisper of Sorrows and I couldn’t put it down. Absolutely brilliant. Onto the next one now. Please, keep them coming 😊

Ive listened to all your books while I’m doing my cleaning job in a school, it helps me forget that I’m cleaning toilets etc ….

I’m 8 books in on the DCI Logan books. I love the characters and the conversations and comments from them often have me laughing out loud. One of my favourites so far is Bob Hoon in The Killing Code balling out DI Forde & DCI Logan on page 174, when Logan is talking about a hunch. That one had me laughing and re-reading it, it’s hilarious!
What a gift you have JD Kirk!
I live in Suffolk but have been to Scotland many times on walking holidays, I love the place and recognise many of the features and places mentioned. Unfortunately, due to a back injury, I,m barely able to hobble to the end of the road at present and reading, which I’ve always loved now even more takes up a lot of my time. I’m currently re- reading the DCI Logan books I’ve got as they make me laugh and smile, which I’m sorely in need of some days.

This image gallery is a great complement to your great books. True story, I keep the Bing map of Scotland open on my second screen when reading your books and try my best to follow the team along. Once or twice I’ve found myself lost in a field somewhere only to read that they are lost in a field somewhere. I’m learning heaps about this fascinating country where some of my ancestors came from. Thanks!
